Description

Build the future with breakthrough tech.
At Sky, we’re not just keeping up with technology—we’re shaping it. From AI and data to automation and digital products, our Technology Graduate Programme helps you build skills in the technologies shaping the future.
The programme combines an immersive bootcamp with two years of rotational experience, giving you the opportunity to build strong foundations before developing your skills across a range of technology teams and projects.
Over two years, you’ll rotate through teams working on cutting-edge projects that power millions of customer experiences. Whether it’s building with software, experimenting with GenAI, or delivering in an agile framework, you’ll gain hands-on experience and support with the tools and technologies that are transforming the industry.
You don’t need to choose a specialism right away. This programme is designed to help you explore, grow, and find your path—whether that’s in development, networks, broadcast, cyber, AI, or delivery.
We’re looking for curious, motivated people who want to build a career in technology. You don’t need a technical background to apply. What matters most is a genuine interest in technology and the impact it can have on our customers.
Over two years, we’ll help you develop into a well-rounded technology professional, giving you insight into how our teams create and deliver great customer experiences across Sky’s products and services.
As you gain experience across different technology teams, you’ll discover where your strengths and interests lie and have the opportunity to specialise in the areas that excite you most.
What you’ll be doing
Technology never stands still, and neither do we. From exploring new ideas to delivering solutions used by millions of customers, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects from concept through to launch. If you enjoy learning, adapting to change, and solving problems, you’ll thrive at Sky.
Throughout the programme, you'll rotate across a range of teams and develop a blend of technical, analytical, and delivery skills while gaining exposure to Sky’s wider technology landscape. You could:
Build digital products using technologies like AI, cloud platforms, and modern software development tools.
Learn about cyber security, threat modelling, and how we protect customers, systems, and data from emerging risks.
Explore network technologies across physical, virtual, and broadcast environments.
Help shape the future of new technology solutions as a Product Owner or Technical Product Owner.
Use machine learning, large language models (LLMs), and generative AI to solve real-world business and customer challenges.
From day one, you'll work on real projects with real impact, supported by experienced mentors and surrounded by people who are passionate about technology. By the end of the programme, you'll have the confidence, experience, and specialist skills needed to take the next step in your career at Sky.
What we’re looking for
The one essential requirement is that you’re currently in the final year of your undergraduate degree, completing a postgraduate qualification, or have already graduated. Your degree can be in any subject.
Skills that will help you thrive:
You should be able to demonstrate a capability to learn new technical skills quickly
Curious about emerging technologies and how they’re changing the world
Passionate about solving problems and building smart, scalable solutions
Comfortable learning new tools and working in agile teams
Excited to explore areas like AI, data, automation, and cloud platforms.
Right to work:  Please be aware that Sky do not offer sponsorship for this role, employment is contingent on you having a valid right to work in the UK for the full duration of the programme. You can find information on the length of our programmes on the website.
Your application journey
Here’s what to expect, step by step:
Step 1 – Apply online
Tell us a bit about yourself — your details, your degree, and anything else you think we should know (like part-time jobs, volunteering, or cool projects you’ve worked on).
Once you hit submit, keep an eye on your inbox (and your junk folder!) — we’ll send you a link to start your digital assessments.
Please note, you can only apply to one programme per year.
Step 2 – Show us your skills
You’ll complete two online assessments that help us get to know you better - how you think, what motivates you, how you might fit into the programme. and your technical abilities.
Don’t worry — you’ll get a chance to practice first, and we’ll send you tips to help you feel confident.
We understand that you might want to utilise AI to support your preparation for taking the assessments – understanding Sky etc. But we ask that you complete the assessments themselves without the assistance of AI.
Want to go a step further? Check out our Preparation Hub — it’s packed with practice exercises, insights into the assessment process, and stories from current grads and apprentices. You’ll even learn more about your values, learning style, and the kind of work that suits you.
Step 3 – In-Person Assessment Centre
If you make it to the final stage, we’ll invite you to an in-person assessment day.
You’ll take part in interactive tasks, meet some of our team, and get a feel for what it’s like to work in Tech at Sky.
We’ll let you know when to expect a decision after the day’s done.
Need Support? If you need us to make any adjustments to help you complete any stage of your application, let us know when you submit your application and someone from our Early Careers team will get in touch if we need more detail.
Where developing you begins
At Sky, your development starts from day one. Through personalised skills discovery, future-focused learning and real-world experiences, you'll build the confidence and skills to thrive. Along the way, you'll be supported by a dedicated Early Careers team, experienced mentors, buddies and managers, giving you the guidance, network and opportunities to make the most of your career from the very start.
