Description

TV shows. Apps. Big ideas.
Commissioning a TV show. Developing a new app. Key to decision making is the financial impact of these projects.  That’s why our Finance team is at the very heart of everything we do at Sky.
Our Finance team:
Set and track budgets
Develop business cases to support projects and investment decisions
Interpret data to provide insights
Connect with teams across the business to meet and exceed our company targets.
Get in on the action. Experience what working in a dynamic, exciting environment is like. And get a taste of what it takes to become a qualified accountant.
Get stuck into a fast-paced, 8-weeks internship where you’ll see how finance drives the action. You’ll work on real projects, learn from the pros, and get a taste of what it takes to become a qualified accountant.
Impress us, and you could land a full-time role after university — starting in 2028.
What you’ll be doing
Start by learning how finance powers the business — from big decisions to everyday spend. Then dive into a real project, team up with others, sharpen your problem-solving skills, and see how we work across Sky to make things happen. You’ll wrap it all up by presenting your ideas to senior leaders.
What we’re looking for
The one essential requirement is that you're currently studying for an undergraduate degree in any subject, and in your penultimate year.
Skills that will help you thrive:
Bring fresh thinking to the table
Strong financial mindset
Confidence working with numbers and data
Great at solving problems
Know how to collaborate effectively across teams.
Right to work - Please be aware that Sky do not offer sponsorship for this role, employment is contingent on you having the valid right to work in the UK /Ireland for the full duration of the programme. Following the internship, anyone who is selected for the Graduate programme offers will be conditional on having the full right to work in the UK/Ireland for the duration of the Graduate scheme. You can find information on the length of our programmes on the website.
Your application journey
Here’s what to expect, step by step:
Step 1 – Apply Online
Tell us a bit about yourself — your details, your degree, and anything else you think we should know (like part-time jobs, volunteering, or cool projects you’ve worked on).
Once you hit submit, keep an eye on your inbox (and your junk folder!) — we’ll send you a link to start your digital assessments.
Please note, you can only apply to one programme per year.
Step 2 – Show us your skills
You’ll complete two online assessments that help us get to know you better — how you think, what motivates you, how you might fit into the programme, and your numerical reasoning abilities.
Don’t worry — you’ll get a chance to practice first, and we’ll send you tips to help you feel confident.
We understand that you might want to utilise AI to support your preparation for taking the assessments – understanding Sky etc. But we ask that you complete the assessments themselves without the assistance of AI.
Want to go a step further? Check out our Preparation Hub — it’s packed with practice exercises, insights into the assessment process, and stories from current grads and apprentices. You’ll even learn more about your values, learning style, and the kind of work that suits you.
Step 3 – In person Assessment Centre
If you make it to the final stage, we’ll invite you to an in-person assessment day.
You’ll take part in tasks designed to show us how you think, solve problems, and work with others — all while getting a real feel for what it’s like to work in Finance at Sky.
We'll let you know when to expect a decision once the assessment day has taken place.
Need Support? If you need us to make any adjustments to help you complete any stage of your application, let us know when you submit your application and someone from our Early Careers team will get in touch if we need more detail.
So why wait?
This is your chance to be part of something big. Our internship puts you right at the centre of the action — learning, growing, and helping make the magic of Sky happen every day. No matter your background, interests, or degree subject, there’s space here for your ideas and ambition.  A career at Sky is where better begins — and it starts with you.
