About the programme
Want to help shape the future of entertainment? Join Sky’s Finance team and get stuck into real work from day one, from supporting content and product decisions to helping shape our plans for the future. You’ll learn on the job, work towards your CIMA qualification and play a part in the commercial decisions that keep Sky moving forward.
Finance at Sky is about much more than numbers. Our Finance teams are at the heart of decision-making across the business, partnering with teams to turn financial information into actionable insight, manage budgets and performance, and help shape our ambitious plans. You’ll develop an understanding of how financial planning, analysis and commercial thinking come together to support great business decisions.
You’ll build your skills in budgeting, advising and influencing, while being part of a supportive graduate community. Big moves. Big impact. Big future. There’s only one place to kick-start a career like this, and that’s Sky.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll rotate through three placements over three years, building experience across different areas of Finance and the wider business. Our Finance rotations can give you exposure to areas including content, advertising and media, cost management, trading, Telco and subscriptions, helping you understand different business models, commercial levers and strategic challenges.
Alongside your rotations, you’ll work towards your CIMA qualification, developing the technical knowledge, commercial judgement and business-partnering skills you’ll use throughout your career. You’ll learn how to turn data, forecasts and budgets into insight, look ahead as well as understand past performance, and confidently communicate and influence stakeholders.
And we’ll support you along the way, with paid study leave and exam days, as you combine professional study with real experience at Sky.
You’ll build your skills in budgeting, advising and influencing, while being part of a supportive graduate community. Big moves. Big impact. Big future. There’s only one place to kick-start a career like this, and that’s Sky.

Passion for numbers and the energy you bring to the team
Curious, ambitious, and ready to learn, you’ll fit right in
Problem-solvers who work well with others
Take initiative and want to make a real impact in a fast-moving business.

Your application journey
Here’s what to expect, step by step:
Step 1 – Apply online
Tell us a bit about yourself — your details, your degree, and anything else you think we should know (like part-time jobs, volunteering, or cool projects you’ve worked on).
Once you hit submit, keep an eye on your inbox (and your junk folder!) — we’ll send you a link to start your digital assessments.
Please note, you can only apply to one programme per year.
Step 2 – Show us your skills
You’ll complete two online assessments that help us get to know you better - how you think, what motivates you, how you might fit into the programme. and your numerical reasoning abilities.
Don’t worry — you’ll get a chance to practice first, and we’ll send you tips to help you feel confident.
We understand that you might want to utilise AI to support your preparation for taking the assessments – understanding Sky etc. But we ask that you complete the assessments themselves without the assistance of AI.
Want to go a step further? Check out our Preparation Hub — it’s packed with practice exercises, insights into the assessment process, and stories from current grads and apprentices. You’ll even learn more about your values, learning style, and the kind of work that suits you.
Step 3 – In-Person Assessment Centre
If you make it to the final stage, we’ll invite you to an in-person assessment day.
You’ll take part in tasks designed to show us how you think, solve problems, and work with others — all while getting a real feel for what it’s like to work in Finance at Sky.
We’ll let you know when to expect a decision after the day’s done.
Need Support? If you need us to make any adjustments to help you complete any stage of your application, let us know when you submit your application and someone from our Early Careers team will get in touch if we need more detail.
