Our Story
LucidTrack was founded by two university students in London in 2025 who experienced firsthand the stress and disorganisation that comes with internship and graduate job applications. What began as a simple need: tracking our own applications across multiple platforms, deadlines, and interview stages, soon evolved into something much greater.
The Challenge
While speaking with peers, we noticed a pattern: most students were using cumbersome spreadsheets to manage their applications. These makeshift solutions were time-consuming to create, difficult to maintain, and offered little in the way of clarity or structure. Despite being some of the most organised individuals in their cohort, many still found themselves missing deadlines, losing track of application statuses, or duplicating efforts.
The Current Landscape
According to The Institute of Student Employers, the average graduate job receives over 140 applications in 2023/24: a 59% increase from the previous year. This marks the highest number of applications per vacancy recorded since 1991. In such a competitive environment, staying organised is not just helpful, it is essential.
