The Elms Academy Insight Day - 19th November 2026

This opportunity is open exclusively to Year 12 students at The Elms Academy who attended the assembly on 24th September 2026.

Weatherbys is pleased to offer a Year 12 Insight Day for students who are curious about the world of work and would like to learn more about careers within banking and financial services.

The day is designed to provide a practical introduction to the world of work and will give students the opportunity to:

• Learn more about the banking and financial services sector
• Meet colleagues from across the business and understand the wide variety of roles available
• Gain an insight into the skills and behaviours employers value
• Take part in workplace discussions and interactive activities
• Explore future career options, including internships, apprenticeships and graduate opportunities
• Build confidence and develop an understanding of professional working environments

Application process

Students who wish to be considered for a place should complete the application form and submit a short cover letter.

The cover letter should tell us:

·       Why you would like to attend the Insight Day

·       What interests you about banking, financial services, or the workplace

·       What you hope to gain from the experience

·       Any career aspirations you may have, or if you're still considering your options, what you would like to learn more about

Do I need a CV?

No. However, if you already have a CV, you're welcome to include it with your application.

A CV is not required as part of the application process. We want to make the opportunity as accessible as possible and recognise that not all students will have created a CV at this stage.

How applications will be assessed

Applications will be reviewed by the Talent Acquisition team at Weatherbys and the Head of Year 12.

Previous work experience or knowledge of banking is not required. We will be looking for:

• Genuine interest and enthusiasm
• Curiosity and a willingness to learn
• Thought and effort in the application
• A positive attitude
• Engagement with the opportunity

We are interested in potential, motivation and an eagerness to learn rather than existing industry knowledge.
