What to Expect

We are recruiting for Graduates to join our Finance team at the McLaren Technology Centre in Woking, Surrey. As a Finance Graduate, you will gain valuable experience across technical accounting, financial control and business partnering, working at the heart of decision-making in one of the world’s most iconic automotive brands.

This is a three-year structured programme designed to accelerate your development and support your journey toward becoming a qualified accountant. During the programme, you will study towards an accredited professional qualification (either CIMA or ACCA) while gaining practical, rotational experience in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.

Please note this is an onsite position.

What You'll Do

Over the course of three years, you will complete a series of immersive placements within the Finance function, building both your technical expertise and strategic business acumen.

Key areas of experience will include:

Technical Accounting & Financial Control:

Gain exposure to accounting principles, compliance, audit preparation, and financial reporting.

Support the month-end close process and accuracy of the general ledger.

Apply financial controls to ensure risk mitigation and regulatory compliance.

Business Partnering:

Work closely with commercial and operational teams to understand cost drivers and revenue forecasts.

Assist in the preparation and analysis of budgets, forecasts, and financial models.

Provide actionable insights and support decision-making across functions such as Manufacturing, Commercial, Aftersales, and Product Development.

Project-Based Work:

Participate in cross-functional initiatives to improve cost efficiency, reporting accuracy, and financial transparency.

Support the wider Finance team during high-profile business planning cycles and strategic reviews.

As part of the graduate scheme, you will benefit from tailored development workshops, one-on-one mentoring, and full support through your qualification journey, equipping you for a permanent finance role within McLaren.

What You'll Bring

You must have achieved, or be on track to achieve, a 2:1 or above in a relevant Finance degree.

Strong analytical thinking, commercial awareness, and an interest in financial strategy.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships.

A keen interest in the automotive industry and a desire to contribute to a high-performance culture.

A proactive, organised mindset with a commitment to ongoing development and learning.

You must also bring a passion for cars, and a desire to work at the cutting edge of the automotive industry within our Finance business area
