Job title: Graduate Naval Ships Product Safety Engineer

Location: Filton (Bristol). We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – however for this role you will be expected to attend your site 3-4 days per week.

Salary: £34,000 Per Annum + £2,000 Welcome Bonus

Role description 

As a Product Safety Engineer you will be working in a team containing some of the country’s foremost experts in the field of Safety Engineering and working on one of the most complex and high profile Safety Cases in the United Kingdom. You will be embarking upon a career which is stimulating and motivational, a career which will equip you with highly sought after expertise and a career which is ample with opportunities.
A Product Safety Engineer can expect to be involved in activities regarding Safety Case architecture as well as detailed Safety Inspection of the engineering design using tools such as Hazard Identification, Fault Tree, Functional Hazard and Event Tree Analysis along with many others.

The Naval Ships Team 

We design and build offshore patrol vessels, giant aircraft carrier and provide complex warships including the Type 26 Frigate to the Royal Navy, giving the customer capability to fulfil operations around the world.

Many roles also require higher levels of National Security Vetting where applicants must typically have 5 to 10 years of continuous residency in the UK depending on the vetting level required for the role, to allow for meaningful security vetting checks.

Qualification requirements

As a minimum requirement you must have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, a 2:2 Bachelor’s degree or a pass at Master’s level in the following subjects: Product Safety, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Naval Architecture

Length of contract: Permanent contract
