Job title: Graduate Naval Ships Hardware Engineer Location: Broad Oak. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – however for this role you will be expected to attend your site 3-4 days per week. Role description As a Hardware Engineer, you will be involved in undertaking both initial and detailed design activities as designs progress through the various stages of development. The role includes producing drawings, circuit designs, and technical documentation to capture hardware design requirements, support repeatable testing, and resolve any technical issues identified during design or testing activities. You will also support the creation of Procurement Specifications for the purchase of third-party equipment and components. A key part of the role will involve carrying out equipment testing and assurance activities to verify that designs meet their specified requirements. In addition, you will support the installation of hardware at land-based sites and onboard ships, assist with EMC, shock, and vibration trials, provide technical support for equipment in service, and contribute technical expertise to new bids and project activities. The Naval Ships Team We design and build offshore patrol vessels, giant aircraft carrier and provide complex warships including the Type 26 Frigate to the Royal Navy, giving the customer capability to fulfil operations around the world. As a minimum requirement you must have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, a 2:2 Bachelor’s degree or a pass at Master’s level in the following subjects: Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Computer Engineering. |
